Volunteer

The Association is run by a committee of unpaid volunteers supported by other volunteers who assist on specific tasks or on an ad hoc basis as and when needed. We can never have enough volunteers and we are always on the lookout for more! If you have time to devote to help running the Association, we are looking to recruit more people to join our committee, to provide more input to the tasks and projects we would like to implement. These roles would require a few hours a month, with committee meetings held in the evenings each month. If you are unable to make a regular commitment, then we would welcome anyone who would like to help out for a few hours over the year.

Volunteering opportunities include:

  • Assisting with newsletter deliveries

Become part of our team of over 40 newsletter deliverers, who between them deliver the twice yearly Association newsletters and the twice yearly parish council newsletters to the 3000 homes and businesses in Little Chalfont.

  • Helping to organise Village Day

Participate in the organisation of our biennial Village Day; there are many areas where your help would be appreciated. Our next Village Day is in June 2025.

  • Supporting the monthly foodbank collections

Help collect and erect our gazebos used for the Monthly Chiltern food bank collection in the village centre on a Friday evening or Saturday morning.

  • Helping with the Christmas lights

Assist our electrical contractor erect and or dismantle our Christmas lights.

  • Getting involved with wildflowers

Help to maintain the wildflower patches around the village.
