Margaret Booroff-Davies
Chair
A resident of Little Chalfont for almost 30 years, following a career in the City of London in financial services, team and client management, Margaret joined the committee in 2022 with the initial responsibility for liaison with our local businesses. Subsequently she helped to coordinate the strategic review of our purpose and processes. She is pleased to have taken on the Chair of the LCCA, in addition to business liaison. Margaret is a volunteer at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London, and also enjoys being part of the Nature Park volunteer team. She is a keen traveller and enjoys visiting art exhibitions and galleries.
Sarah Dexter
Secretary
Sarah took on the role of LCCA Secretary in 2021. She has always worked in admin, as a PA, Office Manager and Practice Manager, and is a great organiser. As Secretary, Sarah manages meetings, agendas and minutes, and manages and resolves general enquiries and queries. Sarah is also coordinating the installation and upkeep of the Little Chalfont Christmas lights. A resident in Little Chalfont for most of her life, in her spare time, Sarah enjoys travelling, reading, dressmaking and gardening.
Steve Cooper
Treasurer
Steve has lived in Little Chalfont for 10 years and has been our treasurer since 2022. As treasurer, he manages our finances and insurance, and prepares our annual accounts. Steve has an engineering background and is the Managing Director of technology innovation companies, focused on telecoms and aviation technology. In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking his dog in the Chilterns and playing tennis.
Adrian Lockyer
Membership coordinator
Adrian has lived in Little Chalfont for 27 years, and has been our membership coordinator since 2013, accepting new members and managing renewals, and coordinating the volunteers who assist the LCCA. Adrian also edits and formats our half yearly newsletter and arranges delivery of this to all 3,000 residents, organisations and businesses in Little Chalfont. With a background in the IT industry, Adrian is a keen traveller who enjoys good food and wine/beer, singing in a local choir and going on long walks.
Sian Lloyd
Nature friendly village
Sian has been a committee member since 2019 and has lived in Little Chalfont for 25 years. With a background in marketing research and marketing communications, Sian researched and coordinated our Community Improvement Plan, and as our nature friendly committee member, plants and manages the wild flower patches in the village. Sian now runs dog day care and boarding from her home and in her spare time enjoys escaping to Wales.
Shirley Strange
Voluntary organisations, schools and Little Chalfont Nature Park
Shirley has lived in Little Chalfont for 37 years and has been a LCCA committee member since 2013. Shirley has a background in Occupational Therapy, and leading allied health professionals. She is responsible for our liaison with member voluntary organisations and schools in Little Chalfont. She is a member of the Nature Park Management group, feeding back to the LCCA, and is involved in the monthly working parties and has responsibility for monthly ‘What to see’ updates and Facebook admin. Shirley is a Simply Walk leader, and as a WI member has a personal involvement in the maintenance and seasonal decoration of the village garden. In her spare time, Shirley enjoys visiting Art exhibitions and historic properties.
Helen Tyers
Good neighbours
Helen has lived in Little Chalfont for 64 years, and has been a committee member since 2016. She has a background in the Civil Service, education and assessing those with special needs, and takes responsibility for our Good Neighbours initiative. Helen has improved communication in the village, especially during the Covid lockdowns, and in 2022 set up and launched the hugely successful dementia Café 22, providing entertainment and support for those living with dementia and their carers. In her spare time, Helen enjoys the arts, gardens and walking.
